My other 'pet-peeve' on the subject is the size of portions served in
restaurants. Rather than advertise lower prices, restaurants get into
'advertizing wars' about "all you can eat" and "hungry-man portions".
Selling small portions is like selling small cars. It results in small
profits.
Moreover, the public is being told what it is paying to hear: "Eat
more."
