Then why are Swedish nuclear power plants being shut down?
Because of a public vote in the seventies to get rid of nuclear power,
some nuclear power plants have been closed during these last thirty
years. The laws and policies adopted back then aren't easy to change, at
least not very quickly.
If you are alluding to the recent (some weeks ago) closing down of some
nuclear plants, that was caused by some caution resulting from some kind
of malfunction in one power plant. Some other plants of the same type
were closed for inspection.
I don't recall what went wrong, but they are up and running again now.
Sorry for not being able to be more specific.
