How have we got to this current obsession with hydrogen?
We ? The obsession is almost unique to the USA.
I know that
it's a controversial in this group, but is someone brave enough to put a
theory forward? And can we discuss it without name-calling?

I'm sorry, that expression is new to me
My theory is that it comes from the obsession with the private car and
refusal to accept less 'sporty' machines like the early electric cars.
I honestly can't think of any other areas where it has even a
theoretical advantage.
It doesn't have an advantage there either !
