The way things are today, most of all energy produced is waste energy.
The majority of energy produced in nuclear, gas and coal power
generation is heat, waste heat. But let's go a bit further down the
line and find that over ninety percent of a simple bulb is actually
waste heat. Add the mind staggering waste for electro domestic
appliances in standby modus...
In fact we could reduce the amount of power drastically on all the
ends. Legislation is needed to provide guidelines of max. energy wasted
= pollution for each part of the supply chain of energy, not only in
the power sector but also in transportation and public as well as
private housing. Waste energy is a more obvious item to start doing
something about than other options. Prevention is better than handling
the symptoms. Specially in regards to global warming.
Yeah right!... Lets have politicians legislate and repeal the first law of
thermodynamics. While they're at it the can repeal the second law and
gravity too. Well, the reich wing religious nut cases think they talk to god
so why not have them try to legislate away the laws of physics. That makes
about as much sense as the other bull shit they have come up with. WMD
anybody? They should just mandate that power plants be 90% efficient! Yeah,
just like that!
