It's all so much vapor designed to placate various demands.
Hydrogen cars will not reduce greenhouse gases, may well increase them.
Hydrogen will not be a cheaper to operate vehicle..a hybrid/battery car might be.
Hydrogen is unlikely to replace gasoline to any significant degree.
Politicians use public ignorance of realities to forestall what has to really be done. President Bush uses the H word exactly once in every major speech..he doesn't believe, but hands out the placebo.
He's not the only one, corporate leaders, politicians and bureaucrats all latch onto anything that "sounds good". They know better but prefer to play kick the can.
