By all means, lets convert a perfectly useable fuel to a less useable
one
expending energy and producing CO2 in the process.
Sounds like a plan.

Hydrogen as a fuel, cannot, by the laws of thermodynamics, EVER be an
energy efficient,
CO2 reducing fuel when the cycle is considered overall, absent
abundant, CO2 free, renewable, electric power.
- Nukes anyone???
