The DOGANIN SESI ASSOCIATION successfully secures grants each year
from private foundations and public sources for projects that seek to
protect and preserve the water and ecology of IZNIK(NICAEA) and the
natural beauty of the watershed. These projects continue DOSES's
efforts to build a sense of community involvement, heightened
awareness and support. The job of preserving water quality is immense,
but together we are making a positive difference in the future of
IZNIK LAKE AND COASTS.
These lake-saving projects are the result of joint planning efforts of
DOSES'S and various communities and agencies. They are developed and
completed in cooperation with state and local government, property
owner associations, citizen groups and individual volunteers. They
involve investigation to identify problems, analysis and assessment of
findings, planning or design of solutions, followed by implementation
and/or education. Most importantly, these projects have helped create
a positive atmosphere of responsible action and an awareness of what
individuals and communities can do to make a difference for a better
IZNIK LAKE.
Projects deal with VILLAGE PEOPLE EDUCATION and ENERGY SAVING
PROJECTS , beach erosion and COAST GUARD, LAKE WATER sedimentation,
sediment removal, FOREST enhancement,WASTEWATER disposal.
