undersatnd there is such a thing developed as a wireless battery charger.

Is there ? Given that it is actually possible to transfer power wirelessly over
very short dsitances it is nevertheless very inefficient. That's probably not a
great concern when the power level is low, so I suppose some companies might
make one for pure gimmick factor.
