pumping hot-cool gasses

Would it help the engine if the exhaust headers is cooled?
If the headers/exhaust manifold is cool then then exhaust gas
temperature could decrease, making it denser and lowering the pressure
in the exhaust pipe.
There would be like a high-low pressure area and so gasses will tend
more easily flow from high pressure to low pressure area?
