Given ZENN Motor's plans, we shouldn't have long to wait before
finding out how realistic the patent's statements are. If EEStor's
claims pan out, the resulting cars could be charged as quickly and
conveniently as filling a gas tank. Until that product is released,
however, the skeptics have ample reason to question these claims.

If it works as promised we should rename a national forest after them
and give them the Nobel Peace Prize and then start a Nobel Prize in
Materials and give them that too.

Indeed. Big claims, big promises; really big challenge to realize.

Electrochemical batteries will get better, too. They'll have to, in
order to be really practical.

It's either that or have a billion people driving around in coal fired
vehicles and thousands of coal fired planes in the sky.

Engines using diesel technology can run on finely powdered coal.

Yes, but it is what is practical not what is possible that counts.

If oil were to run out tomorrow, I'm sure it would rapidly become practical.
Necessity is the mother of invention.
