"Diesel prices have smashed past £1 a litre at the pumps to hit a
record high.
And petrol will not be far behind, experts predict.
The AA's Paul Watters said: "This autumn is looking likely to be a
miserable one for all."
A litre of diesel - on which a third of UK vehicles now run - was
yesterday at an average of 100.15p, according to the AA and industry
researcher Catalyst.
The average price of a litre of unleaded petrol was 97.92p, just below
its record high of 98.54p.
The AA said that overall motorists were forking out 11.13p per litre
more for petrol than a year ago, or an extra £5.56 to fill the typical
50-litre tank.
Londoners are paying an average of 98.2p a litre, 1.7p more than
drivers in Scotland."

"Latest figures up to mid-October show the average diesel price in
East Anglia was 99.7p per litre compared to the national average of
99.3p, while unleaded was 97.8p per litre compared to the 97.3p
average. And it is set to get worse after the average price for
diesel broke the £1 per litre barrier for the first time on Friday.
It is also expected the average cost of unleaded petrol will break the
£1 per litre barrier soon, with East Anglian motorists hit hardest."

Our US feds (Yiddish puppets) may have to add an extra $1/gallon just
to help pay for their global energy domination wars, and otherwise
because WWIII is going to get very spendy. That's just the dirty tip
of our badly polluted and melting iceberg, as we try to take back the
unfrozen Arctic ocean and the shifting north pole itself from Russia.
