What if we repeated that experiment not by using light but
emitting a stream of particles at right angles , say those coming from
the sun and measuring their velocity. If there was an aether and what
else does 'fabric ' mean , then the velocities will be different.

Look up Michaelson-Morley experiments. Educate yourself so we don't have to
keep educating you.
