What are filters in Fractal Explorer 2.02 doing?

Hi,

I just investigate the power of "Fractal Explorer 2.02". Seems to be very a very interesting program. But there seems to be no complete documentation. Only several web sites dealing with special features.

I am looking for information about the filter options in the main fractal definition menu, but I didn't found any. How the expressions in "Filter properties" influence the calculation? What means "Filter limit" and which mathematical object is transformed by "Transforms"? Thank you for any hint!
