Actually True Basic was the Basic "definition" language. ( the first one) Pet Basic, Microsoft Basic , HPBasic Apple Basic all came later. The current version is upwardly compatible with most of the old stuff. It is translatable machine to machine on most modern computers. It was one of the five "built-in" languages of the original Unix system. sam ende wrote:
