Sorry to hear that. I'm using SMF (Simple Machines Forum)
and have no direct expertise with PHP so am unable to assist.
The only thing I could possibly suggest is to (ducks for
cover) use IE to register? :-)
Michael Barnsley joined recently so he can't be using Safari..
I had to use Firefox, because of problems with Safari. At the very
least, there were problems with the "captcha's" not loading correctly
(i.e., instead of one of the letters, you'd get a missing image icon)
which happened with Firefox as well, and if you tried to use the "speak
it to me" button all you got was some random sound that may have been
made by a cartoon character, but sounded nothing like any of the letters
shown.
I just tried several times until enough of the letters showed up to be
able to register....
Unfortunately, even though registered, the forms aren't useable under
Safari because all the messages have messages put in some sort of text
box so that only the first line and about four pixels of the second line
appear (and there's no easy way to scroll through it, even at a line at
a time). So so long as there is only a single line message, it's
readable...
So, in summary, SMF seems to be a real professional job!!
