Some people did complain about codecs. I'm afraid that you will have to
cope with that. I made this video using mencoder:

mencoder "mf://*.png" -audiofile ./dard.mp3 -mf fps=25 -o mand.avi -ovc
copy -oac copy

and it plays well in mplayer. The 'file' command says that the file
format is:

RIFF (little-endian) data, AVI, 0 x 0, 25.00 fps, video:, audio: MPEG-1
Layer 3 (stereo, 44100 Hz)

Maybe that will help you in finding proper codecs for it.

I have calculated it using fractint under dosbox. It took two weeks on
dualcore 600MHz (kinda old) computer. Perhaps later I will use my new
AMD 4600, when I find some more time for that nice hobby of fractal
videos :)
