The Equation of Time is the mathematical bridge between the natural
unequal day and the 24 hour clock day.It keeps one 24 hour day rolling
over to the next 24 hour day by making use of the noon determination
as the Earth axially rotates to face the Sun directly.

Make no mistake, you are not taunting me in the absence of any
contemporary support rather you are destroying an exquisite heritage
whoes roots stretch back to remote antiquity.I can always rectify the
situation by turning to 21st century graphics and using only the two
motions of the Earth - constant axial and variable orbital can
demonstrate what generates the necessity of the Equation of Time in
isolating axial rotation to the 24 hour/360 degree equivalency.

You and your relativistic colleagues spent the last 100 years trying
to convince people that the Earth's rotation through 360 degrees is a
bad clock but the principles stretching back many centuries dictate
otherwise, you end up looking like intellectual brutes in comparison to
the brilliance of my astronomical ancestors.
The principles behind the 24 hour/360 degree equivalency for axial
rotation was developed by brilliant people who assumed axial rotation
to be constant and fixed the equivalency to the geometry and geography
of the planet. They also knew that by using the Sun as a gauge for
determining constant axial rotation that there was a variation from
one complete axial rotation to the next. They equalised the variations
over the course of an annual orbital cycle by adding or subtracting
minutes and seconds to observed noon which reduces the variation to a
constant 24 hour day.
Astronomers checked the accuracy of their primitive pendulum clocks
at noon after the Equation of Time correction was applied,John
Harrison constructed watches that maintained the equivalency over many
axial rotations of the Earth, his watches and the ones constructed on
his inventiveness were so good that eventually people forgot the
geometrical/astronomical principles which facilitate the pace of an
equable hour, minute and second and the manner in which equable pace
was achieved.
You are true to your cause but I cannot account for the laziness of
those who feign ignorance on the matter of the connection between
clock rate, the geometry of the Earth and the astronomical reference
of the Sun/Equation of Time that makes all things possible. From the
construction of the calendar system, timezones ,the GPS system which
reduces back to the same 24 hour/360 degree longitude
coordinates, schedules based on the 24 hour clock and indeed the basis
of most of modern civilisation owes to the brilliance of our ancestors
in opting for the Sun based reference for the assumption of constant
axial rotation.
You chose poorly by adopting Flamsteed's premise for constant axial
rotation through 360 degrees as 23 hours 56 min 04 sec for ultimately
that figure is piggybacking on the already existing principle of
constant axial rotation,in other words Flamsteed's stellar circumpolar
premise is false as are concepts based on that principle.
