There was no live video of the above. And the only place it was "after
midnight" was in Asia.
It was 8 in the morning here in New Zealand -- I was 6 1/2 and listened
to the landing live with my dad, on a transistor radio, while waiting at
the farm gate for the school bus.
It was 1 pm on the West Coast of the USA, 4 pm on the East Coast, 9 pm
in England, 10 pm in Europe.
What you remember live on TV, after midnight, is presumably not the
landing but the first moonwalk, more than half a dozen hours later.
