I think I know what sort of response I might get to this, but I'll try
it anyway.

If you have a problem with what the team are doing with their data, take
it to the team! The readers of these newsgroups are *not* in a position
to do anything about it, neither are they really interested in endlessly
repeated complaints about the same.
