Announcement#: WR-2005-0162
This position is with the U.S. Geological Survey, Western Region
Earthquake Hazards Team located in Pasadena, California. This person
will support the mission of the Southern California Seismic Network
(SCSN) and the California Integrated Seismic Network (CISN).
Duties:
Responsible for operating, maintaining, and assisting in the
development of systems for the production, display, and distribution of
a variety of rapid earthquake products,
Utilizes software and hardware components, application code,
configuration and data files, databases, and static and dynamic web
content,
Works with the ShakeMap production system in southern California,
Accomplishes work in the context of a local team of Southern California
Seismic Network (SCSN) operators and developers, a distributed team of
California Integrated Seismic Network (CISN) operators and developers,
and the ShakeMap development team,and
Participates as a member of the SCSN team in the planning and
development of the SCSN and CISN data acquisition and processing
systems to facilitate the rapid, reliable production of rapid data
products.
The position is located in Pasadena, California, in the Earthquake
Hazards Team.
