You are welcome.
If you can't figure out that the overall shape of the planet including
the Equatorial bulge would certainly determine that the smaller
plates also have a astronomical component arising from the Earth's
axial and orbital motions then perhaps you should join Bah-bah in her
usual gossip.
Look at the Sun for goodness sake where the equatorial regions have a
different overall rotation rate than near the poles, drop the Earth's
crust for a moment and consider the motion of the mantle in roughly
the same light as the fluidity of the Sun.
Again, you are boring and unoriginal geologically with no pretensions
to the contrary.Considering a proper mechanism for the development of
terrestial surface features with a specific focus on planetary motion
is wonderful for those who are not bogged down in the dull and dreary
gossip of geological cataloguers.
