So Islam was a magnet for the intellectually challenged
from the start, right? More likely Muhammad picked up
the description from one of the hundreds of merchants he
met on his various travels; no need to make a mystery where
there is none. Arthur C. Clark has written very convincing
descriptions of space flight, while remaining permanently
earthbound. Do you think Allah was whispering in his ear
too?
