Hmm, you're talking about a "globe viewer" type of application,
which will need several gigs of download and drive space. Sounds
interesting - it'll take a couple of days to set up though. I'll have a
look. "NASA WorldWind Viewer" .. what's Google got to say?

The download is actually a 180MB chunk (presumably the basic
image data), and it's available on a Torrent. It should land here in a
couple of hours, but I won't have time to even look at it until
tonight.
