Suit yourself with your torsion trash but I guess you did not learn
much from the Coriolis thread of last year for you are applying it to
hemispherical 'twisting' and that is shockingly embarrasing.

There is nothing wrong in drawing analogies to differential rotation
(such as the following one) seen where sem-fluids are involved but as
it is uni-directional there is no hemispherical twisting and I
would'nt care to discuss it further let alone 'expansion' of any sort.

I can point out that I came to this forum as a direct result of a query
by a guy who erroneously made a direct correlation of the Sun's
position and Earthquakes hence my involvement with the Earth's motions
has nothing in common with bluffing or blustering.

It is simply a matter of opening up a more productive ground for
investigations and while it is not required to propose an outright
conclusion,it would be nice to drop the stationary Earth/convection
cells and create a direct astronomical/geological link between the
Equatorial bulge and component plate motion .

Btw,most of the guys proposing 'new theories' in sci.physics are not
politically saavy,they assume that having something correct to so many
decimal places is tantamount to a profound insight or on the other
extreme,that the speculative endeavor with exotic conclusions will find
a willing audience but they miss the point.Astronomically,theorists
have painted themselves into a homocentric corner with nowhere left to
go but it is only a matter of time before they discover geology and the
astronomical mechanism as a huge factor in terrestial surface features
so presently we are seeing that remarkable silence before the old gives
way to new insights.It is easy to say the 'Earth expands' or 'space
warps' for these things strike the mind instantly as a shock and
regardless of the assurances of the originators that these things are
'normal' more often than not,simple intuition rejects them not because
of validity but because the jargon surrounding them is more trouble
than its worth. Example -

I am quite proud of that Equinox insight because the alignment can be
easily enjoyed and with a small effort it can present not just a
wonderful point of departure for considering the next great rotationof
the Earth/solar system around the Milky Way axis but more importantly
a better appreceation of the insights and methods of Copernicus,Kepler
and Roemer that are buried under 300 years of theoretical
speculation.It is a delicate moment in the geological discipline for
genuine investigators can see the damage of undisciplined speculative
approaches on its brother discipline of astronomy and so far geology
has remained remarkably free of these huge conclusive leaps foisted
upon visible phenomena by theroists.

The warning of Copernicus is as appropriate today as it was over 500
years agoand this is why I respect these great people and not others
who, on following in their footsteps, destroyed the universal insights
for personal agendas such as 'universal laws'.
