There was a paper I read ... a couple of years ago? ... which
discussed the association of the Wabar site with the (legendary?)
trading centre of Ubar on the Frankinsence (sp?) Road from Oman to the
Rest of The World. ISTR that it was tracked down using satellite
photography to pick up the marks of old trails in the desert.
I'll have to think moRE ABOUTR THAT. (bLOODY cAPSlOCK KEY!) It's
nagging at my memory now. Anyway, off to the lawyers, and the paint
shop.
