You need a polished thin section, which could be examined under reflected
AND under transmitted light microscope. A petrographical lab can do that
(for a few bucks). And then, you let a trained rock petrographer examine
it, if it is transparent. If it is opaque, ask an ore geologist, or a
metallurgist.
