I think the theological ice under that one is less than
granulite-basement solid (I choose my rocks carefully <G>) too. A
Muslim submits, by definition, to the will of Allah, and believes, by
definition, that Mohammed (however transliterated) is his (Allah's)
prophet. While that strongly suggests communication at one or several
points in the past FROM Allah to Muhomad, it does not imply or even
suggest that Allah even heard, let alone listened to Mahmut. Actually,
come to think of it, didn't one of the arch-angels communicate with
Mohammed, not the Big Yin himself?
If you think the disagreements between scientists can be pretty
profound, you should see the schisms within the brethren of religions
some day. Quick question - which group has had more murderous
(literally) fights over their belief systems? The religious or the
rationalists?
