Edison lost the electrical generation and distribution business
because alternating current is more easily distributed.
Tesla sold his patents to George Westinghouse too cheaply and
lost on that account.
Tesla died in 1943 long before the emergence of the CIA.
Tesla's nephew claimed papers were missing shortly after his
uncle's death. What was available was released in 1952.
There has never been a workable "free energy" scheme.
Tesla was glorified by some and hated by others for the same
reason, that he was an Eastern European "foreigner" who went
head to head with an American hero, Edison. Edison was more
successful financially. IMO Tesla was smarter and much better
educated than Edison but had a limited vision of what was
possible to achieve. Both men were, IMO, "difficult."
