Or the affinity of (some of) the mantle minerals for water when
near the surface is sufficiently high that they don't release the water
under those near-surface conditions.
Basically, [the authors of these articles] don't want to look
for holes in their claims, and don't want them to be read by anyone
with critical thinking skills.
