MOSCOW (RIA Novosti) - Radiation levels at the Leningrad nuclear power plant
after an explosion at a smelter in the second unit remain normal, the nuclear
industry's management body, Rosenergoatom, said Friday.
A Rosenergoatom official said the explosion had occurred at a smelter on the
territory of the second unit of the Leningrad NPP at about 3:00 a.m. Moscow time
(12:00 a.m. GMT) on December 15. Three people were injured in the blast.
He added that the second unit was currently out of action and the radiation
