Hey, I almost killed Sen Ted Kennedy! So you watch out.

It's a true story, it is I swear. I came within 6 inches of
bonking his noggin big time.

My older brother used to be an intern for Sen Kennedy. And
my brother invited me to go along to the staff vs intern
annual softball game. It was great! I was just out of high
school and we played right downtown in a park near
the Capital.

Well when it was my turn to bat, being all excited about
the royalty all about me, I swung at the first pitch like
it was the world series. Sen Kennedy was playing the
politician by standing at the third base coach spot and
cheering on each batter. I connected big time with the
ball but pulled it terribly. Just foul inside the third base
line it whizzed. Missing the Senator's head by inches.

I swear, not only did it just barely miss. But I'm a rather
large fello, and that ball was honking.

The Sen didn't have a chance to duck, just went ...."whoa...
.....nice try Jonathan".....NEXT!

I think he was being sarcastic when he said 'nice try' as if
I was trying to hit him.

I'm glad I missed, I keep wondering what my life would
be like if I didn't~ I would've been another footnote in
the dark Kennedy legend.

Truth is stranger than fiction, I don't care what any one says.
