The public don't want to be honestly informed, ..they want lies,
...sweet little lies. The *last* thing they want is somebody telling
them they should be getting upset, when the kickoff's at 3pm, and the
grog's in the cooler already.
"boring, ..boring"... ( Mindnumbingly boring..." )
(Democracy and who needs it, when terrorism is much more exciting.. and
too much upset should be avoided.)
Seen any good terrorists lately? ( First, weapons of mass destruction.
Second, getting rid of a tyrant in his own tyrany. Third, Food for
oil, ..)
The only terrorists I know are the ones peddling plate tectonics on
this newsgroup, some of whom have the highest credentials but can't
answer the simplest of questions on convection. I think they're
waiting for some word or other to be handed down from on high - a
public affairs writer with the USGS or NASA maybe.
(Taking heart from the fact that Skywise says he things for himself...,
....when he'th not thingking about beath ballth.)
