Trying to make a buck while bringing some stability to the area,
by improving the lot of the common Saudi in the street - *not* the

No doubt the project is sponsored by government bodies trying to

Of the Arabian countries, Saudi is competing with Yemen for the
title "most unstable", because of it's severe population growth
pressure. Iran, for all it's faults, is admitting to there being social
stresses and trying to develop ways out of the situation other than
totally autocratic rule. The House of Saud on the other hand, do
nothing but repress and repress ... which is a recipe for revolution.

Hmmm, fighting on the streets of Riyadh. Loss of 90%+ of Saudi
oil from the market. Several versions of jihad triggered, aimed at
every major power in the area (House of Saud, USA, Israel, UK, Egypt,
probably in more or less that order) as well as the inevitable
slaughters of civil wars. Sounds like a recipe for $120/barrel to me.
