Aidan, how do you rate our local scotch highlight 'Glenfiddich'? I'll be one of a few whiskys on the shelves of most DK bars. I recall it as a mild apple-juice .. without the foul tast of .. emh .. whisky.

'Fiddich, in the triangular bottles. Nice, some would say very nice. Quite mild in taste, yes. I wouldn't quite call it apple juice though <G>. 'Fiddich is very popular, and for quite good reasons. the distillery is somewhere up near Dufftown, if I remember correctly, and uncommonly there's a significant amount of limestone in the distillery's catchment area. OK, it's actually marble, but I'm told there is cave up there, for those under 1.3m tall.

My favorite Speyside is Dufftown itself. But as an islander, I have to rank Scapa as my favorite Scotch.
