Any particular reason, or just too busy?

Dead friends. Near-Death Experiences. Realising that I don't have the
self-control to keep it together if it gets really bad. Plus being too busy
and not being within 300 miles of a cave and my car dieing from the tin-moth.

By the wy, I've gotten a job
prospect to do some geochemical sampling for an oil company. If I get the
job, I'll be collecting samples in Montana (on the Blackfoot Indian
reservation near Glacier National Park) and in South Texas.

Strange pairing. Must have got some new acreage. So you'll be doing
groundwater sampling to look for covert seeps?

Don't know what the pay will be, be considering the
harsh extremes of climates involved, and all the travel time, it had better
be worth it.

Well, you can always address that at the interview, can't you <G>.
