Lagrangian gas flung off from the Sun. Notice that this is special

I guess I should check that it is a pseudo-Lagrangian cosmogony
that Wossname is mangling. ... Arrrgh! Noooooo! It was Buffon's "cometary
collision hypothesis" I was thinking of. Oh woe is me! I can't remember
the name of the originator of a theory proposed two centuries ago and
rejected a century before I was born. Oh woe! Dunce's cap in the corner
for me. When the cat gets off my lap.
