Congressman Joe Barton is one of the point men in "The Republican WarIs this a declared war? I was not aware that the Party declared war on
on Science." He chairs a House committee, and has used that position to
harrass the authors of the "Hockey Stick" paper.

anything, other than at election time then it is the Democrats.
I know of quite a number of Scientists that are Republican. One or two won
the Nobel trophy for the mantle. In science, this is better than a
superbowl ring.
I also know of many in the scientific community that critize the "hockey
stick" paper, both of liberal and conservative persuasion. It has some
flaws.
Current Atmospheric CO2 concentration - 375 ppm and holding.
This winter it is going to be warmer than last winter, and don;'t think
Global Warming is the cause, it is the tropical currents in the pacific
called "el Nino". Those of us living in california have had to put up with
these currents affecting our weather for as long as, well, as long as we
knew what el nino was.
In science, only the truth matters.
