What you consider to be silly and profound is irrelevent, presently
there are two groups of people who have basic problems with the 24 hour
day and natural phenomena and you are among them.Your concepts are
built on a false correlation between axial rotation and clocks and it
does not get much worse than that -
http://hypertextbook.com/facts/1999/JennyChen.shtml
Again, the broad outlines of why clocks keep pace with axial rotation at
precisely 24 hours/360 degrees.
The Total length of the daily cycle gauged at noon is and was known to
be unequal. Our astronomical ancestors equalised the variations in the
Total length of the daily cycle to an average 24 hour cycle. and
subsequently created equable hours, minutes and seconds. The Equation of
Time correction also allowed each 24 hour cycle to elapse seamlessly
into the next 24 hour cycle.
When Copernicus discovered that the Earth's orbital motion accounted
for the observed behavior of the other planets it left axial rotation
to account for the observed motion of the Sun.These brilliant men,do
you hear Pat,these brilliant men then overlayed the Equation of Time
system on the principle of axial rotation. They exploited the feature
that kept one 24 hour cycle elapsing into the next 24 hour cycle and
adapted it to the principle that axial rotation could be considered
constant insofar as the transfer of the 'average' 24 hour day was
grafted into the idea that the Earth rotated to noon in roughly 24
hours. The Equation of Time therefore keeps everything adjusted to
noon, both the average 24 hour day and its heliocentric adaption to
geographical seperation of 4 minutes clock time for each degree of
rotation.
Do you clearly understand the two step process which keeps clocks in
sync with axial rotation and why every single one of you will use that
system for the rest of your existence, even as you go about with a
hideous alternative justification based on celestial sphere geometry.
If you cannot rise to an intutive and intellectual level of the great
astronomers then why expect me to descend to your level which is
populated by celestial sphere astrologers and their 'predictive'
colleagues.

The short version of this posting - if you promote a value of 23 hours
56 minutes 04 seconds which amounts to using celestial sphere geometry
to justify axial rotation through 360 degrees,I would not wish to have
a conversation with such a stupid person.
Do you clearly understand that you have the same problem as abut rather "Missing the forest for how one particular leaf grew on one
creationist in having basic problems with the 24 hours day and natural
phenomena ?.From your reactions so far it shows that you are not aware
of just how silly you actually are. What you've got going on here isn't "Missing the forest for the trees",
tree in particular, in relation to what time a clock said as it was
growing."
Not to put too fine a point on it, but this is just plain pointless and
silly.
