I asked a science prof if the moon will eventually move away or into
the earth.
He said neither, it will remain revolving the earth for eternity.
Obviously after this insulting response I stopped taking him too
serious.
What say you, toward? away?
Barring some unforeseen circumstance, my belief leans to toward. This
stems from several factors one being due to the fact that the duration
the moon has chummed with the earth ... billions of years supposedly.
I'm convinced that the escape possibilities are near zero by now.
meaningless because as my science teacher, they were out to lunch. I'mFrom another thread, I'm outnumbered about four to one, but this is
sure some of these trolls will turn up here too.
Obviously this is a good subject for (great) debate.
Again this is ONLY a BELIEF. I'm not SURE. I don't profess to KNOW. So
please keep the insults to a minimum. Bear in mind, I leave few
insults unanswered. If this gets too ugly I will just restart another
(clean) thread.
Let's have a healthy debate.
So what eventually happens to the moon-earth system? Try to convince
me either way.
Thanks,
Steve
