The first contemporary advance in breaking open the genesis Chronology
which stretches from Genesis 1 to Genesis 7 v 11 occured with the
work of Julius Oppert in 1877 -

The gist is that the Babylonian chronology of the Gligamesh and its
ten Patriarchs match that of the 10 Patriarchs of Genesis and the
overall timescale but in different ways.
Genesis 5 Genealogy.
Age of father at birth of son.
Adam 130 years
Seth 105
Enosh 90
Kenan 70
Mahalel 65
Jared 162
Enoch 65
Methusaleh 187
Lamech 182
Noah 600 (age at time of flood Gen 7)
Total years from creation to flood = 1656 years
1656 AT 52.17 per year = 86,393.52 weeks
It is when you reach Genesis 7 v11 that the specifics makes sense -
Gen 7 " in the second month,on the 17th day of the month" where Noah
is 600 yrs old at time of flood is anywhere within the 45th day
45.36/7 day week = 6.48 weeks).
86,393.52 + 6.48 = 86,400 weeks from the creation of Adam to
destruction. Gen 7
"on the precise day named"
Intutive intelligence or faith as we Christians know it is not all
about being clever for the basis of our faith is love and not
knowledge and all genuine and simple people have it.It is not
collecting scattered facts and drawing conclusions but rather to act
with dignity and discipline when approach these texts rather than
turning them into footballs for every halfwit .
People are often made stupid through education or rather
indoctrination, the point being that the facet in the genesis text
often lights up the real level on which the authors operated while
leaving the narrative for those who have yet to grasp the flesh and
blood messages behind the text.Unfiortunately,in an era where people
are no longer scienctific or religious, the texts are cut to pieces by
brute reasoning on both sides.
