I went to school near Kent.
What do you mean "near Kent"? School wasn't very effective then ;o) You are
either in a county or not in a county. It's like me writing my address as
"Folkestone, Kent, Near Sussex, UK"
We had earthquakes several times per year.
Mostly in the 3-4 range.
We most certainly do not get several noticable quakes a year. This recent
one is a once in 8 year event countrywide, not just Kent.
Unless your a colonial who is convinced the world is made up of the americas
and a few assorted islands your post makes no sense at all.

Are you saying the Brits have named an area of the UK after
Kent County, Texas?
