ISTR there was a bit of hooplah a year or two ago with the
announcement of a small range of other compounds with similarly anomalous
phase diagrams. Barium tungstates if I recall correctly. There's a few
organics that behave similarly too, I think.
Water is certainly the simplest compound with such behaviour.
