That's all right. Mantle intrudes the upper crust and when it reaches
the surface it melts and lead to the formation of basalts which
extrudes.
Do you agree with that?
No - nor would any petrologist. You're talking through your hat again.
Believe it or not the mantle is solid - it does not "intrude" crust.
Mantle peridoite melts in the mantle (strangely enough).
May be I abuse the terms, mantle swelling may be more appropriate than
intrusion. Anyway, do you agree that basalts orginate from the
decompression melting of the mantle? Careful here, I don't say it is the
single event leading to the formation of a basalt.
If you do agree, that would be good enough for me.
Not "swelling" but upwelling. The mantle does not "swell".
If you're saying that continents are overriding oceanic crust, then that
IS
subduction.
You're just using a different name for the same thing. Plate convergence
is
relative.
The big difference are the tearing margings. They show that the movement
originates from mantle swelling so that there is no net loss of
surface. In contrary, there is a gain of surface as a layer is added
onto another one.
See answer above. Tha same misdirected logic applies on your part.
To be an ignoramus is excusable. To be an ignoramus who thinks he
knows
everything and
pushes bull*** down everyone's neck is not excusable.
Indeed.
Well then why do you continue to do it?
I do continue, because if you're not as bigot as a creationist, if you
have an ounce of sense of critic, you may one day realize that we are
right.
If you had knowledge of all the supporting data and observations you would
realise that YOU are wrong.
cheers
