Yes, but is such understanding within the average run-of-the-mill
sci000ntist ?

Sir Francis Galton at the Universal London Fair of 1851 conducted a
survey which consisted of 2 questions put to visitors.
These questions were :
1) Do you dream in colour
2) Do you dream in 3D

The result of such investigation was interesting since it demonstrated
that only a small proportion of people dream in colour & 3D ( with the
flying dream being specific of some cultures by the way )
& further demonstrated that some who did thought that this is was a
common trait of all people.

So, what makes you think, you Don Findlay, that all people of the
world have your superior level of intelligence & awareness ? ... Don't
you realise that retards like Stu or Georges (s since being French)
take exception of your insight which indeed their little narrow minds
are unable to reach ? don't you realise that it is completely beyond
those people's scope of understanding to realise their thought-masters
( the ones who formatted their brain in Universilities ages ago )
COULD BE WRONG ?

Really !

Of course they know they're wrong. They know perfectly well the game
of consensus. Or if they didn't they certainly do now. Why else do
they blame the victims? - the poor teachers <http://tinyurl.com/
2xmdss> who can't make head nor tail of all the contradictions they
are supposed to 'teach'.

All the people who head up this Plate Tectonic bandwagon think
themselves Popes, but they are in reality charlatans, reducing poor Jo
there to only feeling competent talking about walking sticks and
knitting and pencil sharpeners, and all the teachers in the classrooms
to idiots laughed at by their students for not knowing whether
mountains are built by plate crumpling (like the Himalayas) or hi-
lifted by continents sliding under them with no crumpling (like the
Himalayas)

It's not the retards I'm worried about though. I think there is very
real evidence that the ordinary person, ..the passably interested lay
geologist, or the would-be one, is highly disturbed by such a possible
realisation. If they can work out for themselves the nonsense in
plate tectonics what are they to think about the people like Stuart
perpetrating this stuff? Especially when they read that the teachers
in school are so bamboozled over the contradictory messages they are
getting to teach what should be basically a simple concept that they
are in need of remedial training.

This should be when the academic profession either closes ranks and
shuts up - or as we hear, sliding into serial ad hominems - or
triumphantly announces its new breakthrough - that the Plates are
*GROWING* and not moving
