John, thank you for the information about the gases affecting the snow
cover. I hadn't realized that before and hadn't managed to locate any
of the fumaroles in the panorama before, either - now there are
"tracks" to follow.
Thanks, all, for the help with saving the image. I was so taken with
its beauty, I forgot just how huge a panorama that is, and of course,
it wouldn't make a very good wallpaper for my desktop.
