NASA has recanted the funding cut so they are reprieved, for now.

NASA is smart enough to listen, on occasion, to its many fans.

I hope they remember how they achieved this, cuz this one of
this least problem plagued missions I can recall especially given
its complexity.

And JPL and NASA need to remember the difference between Metric and US
Customary Units.  Remember the previous rover bounced a bit hard on
landing and never survived.   Perhaps it was CalTech's fault, not teaching
the US units of measurement, but personally, I think Al Gore had a hand in
it to sabotage the rover, because he was afraid it would discover Martian
Creatures, formed from Global Warming on Mars.
