What makes our planet special in a geometric sense, is the existence
of the Phi proportion in animate and inanimate objects - Plato called
the relationship the most binding known geometric relationship while
Kepler called it a jewel.

Some people are more disposed than others to tune into the geometry in
all its facets and as it surfaces in a geological context in the form
of minerals,it is no harm to look at what it can tell us.The world
which William Blake could see through a grain of sand has a certain
geometric flavor to it when applied to minerals and their naturally
occuring symmetries and therein the curious person is bound to find
themselves between the mysteries that create the geometry and the
tangible existence of that geometry.

The empiricist with a Darwinist streak rather than a more stable
evolutionary stamp will try to show existence as a progression from
simpler states to more complex forms by a turfing out of undesirable
features or adaptation to physical conditions such as
geography, climate ect but the argument becomes unstuck in the presence
of the underlying geometry which binds all animate and inanimate forms
together. There is something more than the survival of the fittest at
work in creation and it is to this end that I begin to re-introduce a
work that has remained private for nearly two decades.

The Phi proportion has that mysterious beauty to it and it also shows
something of its effeciency in natural things -

http://www.mcs.surrey.ac.uk/Personal/R.Knott/Fibonacci/fibnat2.html

In 1990,I extended that geometry to stellar effeciency and the
geometry it would produce in stellar evolutionary terms.I came up with
two external rings and one smaller internal ring which co-incides with
the plane of the central star. While there are instances where stars
show this trait such as Eta Carinae -

The enjoyable features became apparent only with photographs of
sn1987a in 1994 -

The natural effeciency seen in crystal growth,in the arrangement in
flower seeds in a sunflower, the spirals of a nautilis shell may also
be present in the wider cosmos as well.I arrived at the two external
rings and the smaller internal ring in an attempt to arrive at a
satisfactory conclusion for a particular geometry seen in crystals
known as quasi-crystals and their descriptive antecedents on the plane
- Penrose tiles -

http://www.scienceu.com/geometry/articles/tiling/penrose.html

In 1990 I found a means to show where the angles 36 deg,72 deg,108 deg
and 144 deg can become periodic hence the geometry of the external
rings and the smaller internal ring. The working conclusion is that the
higher elements created by a star in its evolutionary process and are
present in abundance in our own bodies may have come from our own
Sun.Rather than being the death of a star,a supernova may represent a
two step or multi-step process in stellar evolution.

Most here will just not get the point and that is fine with me,it is
the outlines of something new rather than a detailed account and
hardly appeals to those who have constructed a Big Bang Universe,at
least in its present form. The geometry that saturates the Earth and
its objects both animate and inanimate, tells me more of Universal
evolutionary processes but in such a way that it makes existence more
enjoyable rather than complicating things or rushing to conclusions
just for the sake of it.It is enjoyable to consider that the elements
in our own bodies may have come from our own Sun due to the
consideration of our galactic formation and that all the stars have
been keeping roughly the same distance since galactic rotation began
begging the question, where was the supernova star which generates the
Earth's heavier elements.

It is like this, I watch as you go into intricate details of the ins
and outs of Earth expansion just as the geostationary guys go into
intricate details of the internal structure of the Earth based on the
convection cell mechanism.I work on geodynamics playing a role in the
evolution of geological features and the continuing effects such as
volcanoes and Earthquakes while the geostationary guys such as Karley
argue against geodynamical influences.

Not at all, ..Earth expansion is all about spin. The are opposite
sides of the same coin. The are tied correlates. That's the way I
see it anyhow. Spin is as big a mystery to me as gravity.

This always happens at the latter stages where concepts such as
'convection cells' cannot go any further,it happened in astronomy
about the time of Copernicus where they constructed elaborate
geostationary explanations just as the convection guys do
now.Copernicus had this comment ot make and I can affirm it -

Flat Earth. That's what that is. You fall off if you try (to go any
further). Circumscribed by the limits of understanding.

" although they have extracted from them the apparent motions, with
numerical agreement, nevertheless . . . . They are just like someone
including in a picture hands, feet, head, and other limbs from
different places, well painted indeed, but not modeled from the same
body, and not in the least matching each other, so that a monster
would be produced from them rather than a man. Thus in the process of
their demonstrations, which they call their system, they are found
either to have missed out something essential, or to have brought in
something inappropriate and wholly irrelevant, which would not have
happened to them if they had followed proper principles. For if the
hypotheses which they assumed had not been fallacies, everything which
follows from them could be independently verified." De revolutionibus,
1543

A hotch potch collection of ad hoc nonsense, and because it emanates
from supposed 'scientists' we are supposed to believe it. That's how
I would put it.

Plate tectonics as a principle is excellent, even in outlines and with
much modification however it becomes a monster when attached to a
geostationary mechanism.I can deal with the meta arguments first such
as why geodynamics provides a more suitable mechanism for crustal
motion and evolution but I sure as hell am not going to waste my time
with geostationary guys who surround their concepts with worthless
jargon as a means to generate a lot of heat but no light.

You only go half way. You can't have Plate Tectonics without
convection. Besides, there is no 'independent' plate movement which
is the essence of Plate Tectonics. All the plates are united by a
single spreading ridge (the Pacific) and its ancillary (Atlantic -
Rodriguez)

There will always be an audience for jargon spouting with no central
theme just as there will be a more limited audience for making
connections between geological,climatological,biological and
astronomical realms and further into wider creativity which humanity
is capable. The geostationary convection cell guys have shown
themselves to be no better or worse than yourselves and I am content
to leave you both to your own devices so leave me to mine.

No, ..I am not going to leave you alone. You are a lost soul wandering
in space without a planet to call home. You need to be brought into
the cozy fold. If you think the Eaerth spinning affords wondreous
emotional insights it's got nothing on it getting bigger. Those pics
of the galaxy you posted are saying the same mind-boggling thing. And
Fibonacci Life, spiralling away there too. How you can see a few
engines in a shunting yard going backwards and forwards bumping into
each other as comparable is beyond me. The Earth's crust shows
enough spirality about it to invite even some knit-one-purl-one. I
don't know what's holding Jo up, ..why she finds it depressing...
It's big, but not impossible. Surely she could roll it from room to
room whilst working on the grandchildren. (Jo?)
