Hint: Ain't no quartz, k-feldspar, or pegmatite on Avery Island, LA
unless a UPS truck (or equivalent) brought it!

G'day John,
Never was much good at palaeontology! Strange colour for coral (and a
terrible photo). Mind you, I've seen pegmatites that look exactly like
that - hence my question about the hardness. Never heard of Avery Island!
