Very likely. That animation of Florian's showing the cluster on
India's right-hand Horn -- wouldn't like to be living there.. Poor
Folk. They're not being served very well by the bright shining
dollars of convectional Plate Tectonics. They go on about the
westwards movement of the Pacific Plate when virtually the entirety of
deformation in that part of the world is transverse to that, ..as
anyone with a few brain cells can see. They're much more concerned
with maintaining the myths of subduction for the sake of security of
publication, and the spin offs that consensus careers offer, than they
are with looking seriously at the safety of the region. These guys
are not *entirely* fools. They know exactly which side of Stuart's
"Gift that Keeps on Giving" is the butter on their bread.
