Sounds like the soundtrack to "Forbidden Planet." Anyway, this video
is self-explanatory and also has a nice animation of the landing. That
was quite an accomplishment: NASA must be doing something right. (g)
There's enough of an atmosphere for a parachute to work, so sound
could be heard there. But why should Phoenix have audio? It would be

, but it's highly unlikely, and I'm glad instead they spent the money
on making a DVD of Earth sounds and transporting it there instead.
What I want to know is, is my name on that list of quarter-million
